Before you write

I am behind on filings. Is that going to be an awkward conversation?

No. Nobody gets a lecture here. Being behind is ordinary work for us, and we have seen every version of how it happens. What matters is what it takes to catch up, and we can usually tell you that on the first call.

What is the catch on the free call?

There is not one, and there is no pitch at the end. Thirty minutes, and you leave knowing where you stand whether or not you hire us. Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need us yet, or that you need a CPA instead. We will say so.

We already have a bookkeeper. Is it strange to be talking to you?

No, and you do not need to have decided anything before you write. A second opinion is one of the boxes on this form for a reason. What you tell us stays between us.

How quickly will someone actually reply?

Do you work with people outside California?

No, and that is deliberate. California has its own agencies, its own forms and its own deadlines, and keeping current on them is a full job. We would rather know one state well than fifty of them badly.
